Achieve higher part production with laser 3D printing
Selective laser sintering (SLS) stands out among 3D printing technologies like FDM, DLP, PolyJet, and binder jetting. Create robust parts with excellent surface finish directly from powder materials with laser 3D printing. While some post-processing might be desired for specific applications, SLS generally yields parts ready for use with minimal finishing steps.
Our CO2 laser systems, featuring high-speed galvo optics, deliver the precision and control required for high-resolution SLS 3D printing. These systems excel in processing a variety of thermoplastic powders, including nylon and TPU. They are ideal for producing durable prototypes and end-use parts with complex geometries.
Why Luxinar
Shorten cycle times with laser 3D printing
Distinct, consistent pulses that deliver maximum power density are crucial for laser 3D printing. This way, the printing materials are melted and bonded to the layers accurately, resulting in high-quality parts and faster processing time.
Consistent, high-power density laser pulses are the backbone of high-quality laser 3D printing. They ensure precise material interaction, minimize defects, optimize material properties, and contribute to overall printing efficiency. This level of control is essential for creating reliable, high-resolution 3D-printed parts for various applications.
High power density enables faster melting, ensuring higher printing speeds without sacrificing precision. Consistent pulses minimize defects, reducing the need for extensive post-processing steps like sanding or polishing.
Rise/fall times of conventional CO2 lasers are limited to 60 µs to 90 µs. With Luxinar’s patented Ceramicore® technology, the Infinity Plus series achieves under 40 µs. These reduced rise/fall times result in better quality parts and faster sintering of delicate features. When batch sintering, the more rapid rise/fall times shorten the jump time between parts. This helps to speed up production rates.
“The Ceramicore®️ CO2 technology proved to be an excellent alternative to conventional CO2 lasers. It offers unique performance features and addresses the long-term CO2 laser gas integrity of older technologies.”
